Our Pledge: Protecting Children from Harmful Online Content

At MCP Insight, we believe that digital progress should never come at the expense of safety; especially when it comes to children. As mobile services continue to evolve, so too must our efforts to ensure that younger users are protected from harmful, age-inappropriate content.

This is not just a regulatory obligation. It’s a shared responsibility across the digital ecosystem.

Our Commitment

As part of our ongoing social impact work, MCP Insight is making a formal pledge to help protect children from harmful online content. We will:

  • Support mobile operators, regulators, aggregators, and platforms in identifying and managing digital content that may pose a risk to younger audiences
  • Invest in tools and data that provide greater visibility into the content being delivered to users
  • Champion responsible content classification and age-appropriate access through collaboration with industry stakeholders and regulatory bodies
  • Actively maintain and expand the Federated Kids Database (FKDB) – our centralised resource for identifying apps and sites targeted at children so that advertisers can exclude them from their campaigns

Why This Matters

Children and young people are among the most active users of mobile devices. While digital services can offer incredible educational and entertainment value, they can also expose vulnerable users to inappropriate or misleading content if left unchecked.

By providing trusted intelligence and proactive monitoring tools, we aim to create a safer digital environment; one that supports innovation without compromising on protection.

A Shared Effort

We recognise that this challenge cannot be solved in isolation. We encourage our industry peers – including content providers, regulators, payment aggregators and mobile network operators – to join us in making online safety a priority.

Let’s work together to build a digital ecosystem that is both dynamic and responsible, where young users can explore, learn, and connect without being put at risk.
